Because Design Matters….

I believe without a doubt that I am better informed on a wide range of topics because of my RSS Feeds. I try to keep my feeds in Bloglines down to 25 or 30. I take RSS feeds from journals and news sources on a wide range of topics. This includes feeds form technology and educational journals as well as news from traditional outlets like newspapers and magazines.

When I do a training sessions or give a conference presentation I always ask the same question – Do you RSS? Most of the time maybe one person will raise their hand but usually the majority of college staff and faculty have never heard of news feeds. I find this a little shocking that so few people use this tool that is really at the core of the internet.
